What We Offer

Billing System Data Integration

Our system has been designed to facilitate the simplistic integration to allow for **data exchange** within billing systems, integrated with **real-time reporting**. This enables utility users to view records such as customer balances, meter tampering, restrictions, etc.

Arrears Recovery and Account Payment

The system provides integration with existing billing systems and is configurable to municipal or private utility specifications for the collection of arrears, receipt of payments and all other utility services. The system can be configured to recover arrears amounts on a **fixed or percentage-based model**, depending on customer requirements. Such configuration is dynamic and can be amended and implemented on a **daily, weekly or monthly basis**.

Reports

Our dynamic user interface provides **comprehensive and in-depth reports** as a part of the implementation process. All reports are **updated online** and are available immediately to the user. Our standard report set includes but is not limited to:

  • Transactions by customer, vending point
  • Sales summaries by day and month
  • A monthly management summary
  • Exception reports showing low and no buying

System Features

Innovative Features

Our innovative system allows for **remote user access**, enhancing response time and increasing efficiency. Engineering tokens are available from the management system interface, allowing technicians in the field to update meter details directly.

The system utilises a **single database**, and once updates are performed to a customer’s record, they are immediately available for vending without having to perform any secondary tasks such as transfers or synchronisation.

Our system has an advantage over its traditional predecessors in that it is maintained and **updated centrally**. All management client updates are made to the web page, and vending Client web application updates are automatically deployed to the client at system start-up.

In addition, the deployment of new vending systems is easily managed by the client’s IT staff, as the only intervention required from Utilities World is the provision of a new **SSL certificate** for the client.

We are connected in **real-time** to all the major retailers, financial institutions and spaza shops and are able to offer third-party vending services at all enabled outlets. This includes all **Pick n Pay and Shoprite stores, Boxer stores, Spar stores** as well as most fuel stations.

Our partnered vendors allow customers to purchase at all hours and from multiple points at the likes of Pick n Pay and Shoprite stores, Spar stores, financial institutions as well as most fuel stations. Third-party sales are settled with clients using a simple and transparent remittance and payment process.

We are committed to the development of local economies and provide simple integration to local **spaza shops and second tier retail outlets** to facilitate their participation in the vending and distribution of our prepaid and postpaid offering.
